If you’re an introvert, you may feel like you’re being judged or that you aren’t good enough. You may compare yourself to others in your industry.
Many introverts feel misunderstood; like there’s something wrong with us. Many of us are insecure. You may even wish that you were different and more outgoing. We tend to be empathetic and emotional and we think a lot.
If you suffer from depression or anxiety, it can be hard to find the motivation to even make a video. I still struggle with this sometimes.
If you don’t feel like being on video on a particular day, do a video where your face isn’t shown. I’ve done plenty that way.
Maybe you’re sick or you just feel bad and you don’t want to be seen on video looking like a zombie, unless it’s Halloween. 🧟♀️
I deal with low self esteem and a lack of confidence at times, but my confidence has grown since starting my channel, watching it grow, getting nice comments and good results.
People just don’t understand us. Some may think we’re lazy because we aren’t marketing our business like them or because we don’t spend hours on the phone prospecting.
Phone anxiety is my main struggle. Online communication like Zoom or Skype, causes a huge amount of anxiety for me.
What works for extroverts doesn’t work for us because we’re simply different. We try to advertise ourselves and our businesses in ways that just don’t “fit us.” Then, we get frustrated when things aren’t working.
People will tell you that if you just did xyz, you’d be more successful.
“Suck it up, there’s nothing to fear but fear itself, they say. “
Remember, when it comes to online marketing or doing YouTube videos to market your business, the person on the other side of the screen can’t hurt you. They can’t touch you and you’ll probably never see them again. You can also hit the block button.
I don’t really care if someone doesn’t like my voice or how I look in my videos.
I don’t like every video that I watch, either…who does?
When you work in an office, you have to do what your boss says, no matter what. Your boss may ask you to give a presentation to 100 people and you don’t know whether to just quit or faint. When you’re the one in charge of your business, you advertise the way that fits you.
“You don’t have to sacrifice success just because you’re an introvert.” -Tanya Aliza
