So step one, identify how people are searching for your products on Google.

You got to do keyword research. I want you to go to Ubersuggest, look at your products that you’re selling, type them into Ubersuggest.

It’ll give you suggestions for all the other keywords that people are typing in.

Some of them will be more popular than your keywords, some of them will be less popular.

But it’ll give you an idea of what people are looking for.

If you don’t know what people are looking for, how do you know what to optimize your pages for?

The second step, I want you to look up your competitors in Ubersuggest.

Type in their URL. Once you type in their URL, I want you to do a few things. The first is go to the Top Pages section. The Top Pages section shows you all their pages, more so, that are ranking in Google, the keywords that each of those ranks for, and who’s linking to them.

Then, I want you to go to the Keywords Report in the Traffic Analyzer.

The Keywords Report shows you a laundry list of all the keywords that are ranking for them, from the most popular to the least popular.

This again will help you figure out what keywords you should be targeting.

Without this, you won’t know where to focus your attention on.

Step number three, I want you to optimize your product pages for those keywords.

I’m talking about include those keywords in the title tag, the meta description, within your product description, right?

It needs to be everywhere, H1 tags. By doing that, search engines will know that you’re targeting those keywords.

The next step, optimize your pages, especially the product pages, for user experience.

Here’s what I mean. Everyone thinks about eCommerce SEOs like I need to build links, I need to pop in keywords.

Yes, that is important.

But if people get a terrible experience, they’re going to leave your site.

If they leave your site, they’re not going to come back.

Google’s going to notice a high bounce rate.

Boom, your rankings are going to tank, or in some cases, they’re never going to go up because you weren’t ranking in the first place.

But you optimize that user experience. Have beautiful images, have videos that showcase your product.

Have reviews, whether they’re good or bad, just reviews that are transparent.

All this stuff helps improve the user experience, helps you build trust, helps you get more sales in the long run.

It also helps you rank higher.

Next up, I want you to build links. You already used the Ubersuggest tool to see who’s linking to your competitors, right, based off their top pages.

The next step, continually update your pages.

Here’s the thing that no one really talks about in Google’s algorithm.

Do you know what one of the biggest factors is?

How fresh is your content?

Have you noticed that Wikipedia continually ranks?

It’s because they constantly have people updating their content and their pages.

If you’re not doing that, you won’t rank as high.

Next step, interlink your products.

Cross-link them, cross-promote them together. Not only does that help increase total cart size.

It helps increase the link juice that is flowing to all your pages, so they all end up ranking better.

The next step, make sure your site is mobile compatible.

And what I mean by mobile compatible, don’t just have your site, you know, be responsive and your checkout work on a mobile device.

I’m talking about having your site also load extremely fast.

If it loads fast, you have good page speed, what you’ll find is your rankings for all mobile drastically increase.

Page speed is more important on mobile from everything that we’ve tested than desktop.

So the mobile experience is not just about responsive and the user experience. It’s also about speed.

And speed not only improves conversion rates, but it also improves your rankings.

Last but not least, use schema markups for your product.

Doing this will help your rankings.

You’ll combine all of this, you’ll find that your eCommerce site can rank.

Sure, you should still do paid ads, especially if they’re profitable.

But you should do both. Go after the SEO traffic and paid.

Heck, online marketing is popular because it allows the little guy to compete with the large corporations without needing tons of cash.

Here’s how you market your website when you have no money.

Step 1: Go to Quora and search for all of the questions that people have within your space and answer them. When it makes sense, link back out to your website. This is so effective that my Quora profile gets hundreds of thousands of views each month.

Step 2: Create content in different formats (text, video, audio) and promote them on the social web (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Quora). You can post the same content on multiple social sites as Google DOES NOT penalize for duplicate content.

When using this tactic make sure you only put part of your content on social media and make the readers click over back to your site to read the rest.

Step 3: Google for forums within your space and respond to questions. Within your forum response add a signature that lists your website. The better response you give the more traffic you will get.

That’s how you market your website when you can’t spend any money on marketing. 🙂

Ranking #1 With a New Website on Google in 2019 | Is it Even Possible?

Ranking #1 With a New Website on Google in 2019? Is it Even Possible? // With all the changes that Google is making and their algorithm keeps getting harder and harder, is it even possible to rank at the top anymore? Today I’m answering the question of is it even possible to rank at the top of Google in 2019?

How to Do SEO for a “Tiny” Website That Doesn’t Have Any Visitors or Money (article): https://neilpatel.com/blog/how-to-do-seo-for-a-tiny-website-that-doesnt-have-any-visitors/
____________________________________________

If you have a brand-new website or even a website that’s old and you’re getting little to no organic traffic, you can still generate a lot of traffic from Google and rank organically.

But the ways you need to do it is totally different than what people are thinking. Now let me give you an example.

There’s this company called Ahrefs. Ahrefs provides an SEO tool. They rank on page one of Google and at the top for backlink checker. But before they ranked at the top, they were doing everything.

They were building links to that page, they were guiding internal links, and they couldn’t get to the top no matter what they tried. And can you guess why they couldn’t get to the top?

Well, it’s because everyone who searches for that term is looking a free tool that provides backlinks right away. Ahrefs is a paid tool. The moment they figured this out, they released a free version of their tool that provides information on a hundred backlinks.

Just a hundred, they limited it so people still upgrade to their paid tool, and what ended up happening is within a few weeks to even less than a month, they shot up to number one.

Do you see what happened there? They figured out what the user wanted and they provided it. It wasn’t just about building links, it wasn’t just about optimizing title tags, putting in the right keywords.

It’s providing the best experience for our users, and that’s a mistake that most people make.

In 2019 and even beyond, SEO is not just about building links, building the right type of content, internal linking.

It’s about thinking about the user and putting them first.

If you don’t put the user first and you don’t give them what they want no matter how much SEO you do.

Just like Ahrefs showed, you won’t rank. If you put the user first, and even if you don’t have all the other factors, like your backlink count isn’t right, your internal links aren’t perfect, you can still rank high.

Because the way Google looks at rankings these days is even if you do all the fundamentals right, but if people keep going to your site and then click the Back button right away, they’re bouncing off, they’re going back to Google quick and the next result, that’s telling Google that, hey, people don’t like your website.

Google doesn’t care how much SEO stuff you’re doing at that point. They’re just like, wait, people aren’t liking your website, so they’re not going to continually rank you.

So if you want to rank in 2919, don’t just think about SEO from an on-page or off-page perspective. Think about SEO from a user’s perspective.

What do your ideal customers want? If you don’t know them, head over to tools like surveymonkey.com and you can survey users. You can survey your own users. Ask them things like, what else would you like to see on this page? How can we delight you? How can we make our website better, our product, our service? By figuring out what people want and then giving it to them, you’re much more likely to crank and climb in the rankings.

It’s not just about doing the fundamentals that everyone is talking about.

4 Easy Steps to Marketing Your Local Business Online

Getting more people to your storefront used to be hard before the Internet, but not anymore. Through 4 steps you can get more localized traffic.

Step #1: Get into the local pack. When you perform a search for any localized term you’ll notice a map at the top and 3 localized listings. You want your business to be placed within there.

By setting up Google My Business you are likely to get placed in there. Just submit your business name, address, and phone number.

Step #2: Optimize for localized SEO. Under the local pack are organic listings, you can also be placed there.

Place localized keywords within your webpage. Make sure you also include your address, location and contact details on your website.

Once you do that ask your local chamber of commerce to mention your business. By getting localized links you will rank higher for local keywords.

Step #3: Increase your click through rate. Having a well-placed listing doesn’t ensure you will get traffic.

Generate more reviews so you can get more clicks. You can do this by asking your customers to leave reviews online.

Also, use schema markup so your listing stands out. If you are using WordPress the Yoast SEO plugin will automatically add schema markup.

Step #4: Don’t rely on Google. Use sites like Tripadvisor and Yelp to get more local traffic. Encourage reviews on these sites and do whatever you can to satisfy customers.

When someone leaves a bad review, take their feedback to heart and work on improving the experience for future customers.

Online Marketing Diary Entry Two

In this video, I’m gonna talk about what we’ve been doing since the last Online Marketing Diary entry. We’ve learned and realized a lot along the process and therefore, have made some changes which I’m so excited for you to find out!

I hope you’ll be able to pick up something from our stories which you could apply to your online marketing business.

What’s New in Content Marketing Update for 2019

Content Marketing Update for 2019
https://fairtechltd.com/

In the past, publishing content on the internet was the solution to get found.
In 2019 with approximately 4.5 billion pages on the internet, Google has enough content to link to for any search performed.
Now how can you still gain visibility

I’d like to start with a question for you.
Do you use videos for your content?
If yes, reply with yes in the comment below
If not leave a comment with no.

As you know content is king.
In order to be listed in Google for a certain topic, you must have content about it.
With so much content already existing about everything in 2019, how can you make sure that you are still visible?

If Google has the choice of many pages for the same search,
which one do you think it will list between
shorter and longer ones
older and newest?
Google’s duty is to return the most relevant
but also the most complete
and up-to-date content
So, apart from creating new content based on your keyword research related to your services and products
you need to update your existing content
What is nice is that when you update it and add additional new up-to-date information, it will not only be fresh but also longer
One stone 2 birds to adapt to 2019’s needs

Google also monitors the behaviour of the users
What do they do with your content
If they share it, add comments to it
This will show Google that your content is useful
So added value content is still the priority
This is logic, you want to contribute
But you can trigger this social engagement
with questions like I asked at the beginning of this video
Suggest to share, like, comment
Share it yourself on your facebook page, Linkedin, tweeter Instagram Pinterest etc

A post where you just share a link toward your blog, website or youtube video, for example, will not be shown much
Facebook, for example, is showing less and fewer posts with external links
Don’t just share repurpose by editing it, make a short version as a teaser
upload it as new unique content.
Engage your readers and post the link for further reading as answers to questions in the comments
Social engagement is getting more and more important. This is how search engines get the confirmation that your content is liked by the readers

Provide new, different content, see what is out there for the topic you want to talk about and be different
People don’t want to see the same over and over again.
Be different, give the missing part that no-one else provides
Have a different approach, give lots of added value
This is what makes users subscribe, share and come again

For sure SEO your content onpage
to make sure it can well be understood by Search Engines
and especially in 2019, offpage
Make sure many other websites refer to your content
Not only social media but reference websites from your industry

The last tip I will share here now is:
In our SEO lab, we see that in 2018 the use of videos has grown drastically
There are predictions out there saying that in 2019 80 % of the time spent online will be to watch videos
It’s not that difficult to create videos
For sure, your company presentation and products will need professional videos that fit your branding
But contributions videos, tips, and tricks
can be done even with a good mobile phone and an external microphone.
It’s fast and easy to do
Our tests showed that videos done on the fly from your mobile convert even better, It’s more personal and this is what users want.
The good news is, if you embed your video in your text content it will also boost your ranking in Google
As you know at FairTech we love to do actions that give multiple outcomes
This is what makes our OMM formula so successful.
And this is one of those actions we do for our clients
Make sure to do the same for your content too
Videos will also have a 3rd outcome
They will make that people know you, your services and product better.
In order to have someone buy from you because of you, you need a min of 8h face to face contact… this is a lot.
Do you have so much direct contact with each of your leads, before they become clients?
The good news is, the time they watch your videos, also counts as a face to face discussion
Believe me, it works.
So one stone 3 birds
Share your videos content the same way I mentioned just before for your content in general.
Don’t just share it, upload it as fresh content into Facebook and other social media you use

If you need personal mentoring or to outsource your online marketing check out our agency.
